2. Fill out registration form.
Next, you will need to fill out the registration form that appears on the following screen, as indicated below. Naturally, you must confirm that you are 18 years or older to be able to proceed. To proceed to the next step, click “Create Account”.
3. GDPR Notice
The following screen goes into more details explaining your rights as a customer in relation to the GDPR policy if you are in EU. There is nothing to be worried about here, as the policy is a European standard designed specifically to increase and protect your rights as a consumer. Simply process “I acknowledge” to continue.
5. Marketing Communication
The next screen is where you get to decide if you want to be opted in or opted out of their marketing communication emails. If you have no interest in receiving any special offers by email, press “no”. This will not impact you negatively, as anything related to the service they provide and anything related to your account, they are still legally obligated to email you about, so these emails you will still be opted in to.
6. Email Verification
Next you will be receiving an email from Coinbase. This is just a confirmation email to prove that you own the email that you used during the registration process.

14. Upload Proof of Address
Next, Coinbase requires you to upload proof of your address. You need here a Bank Statement, Utility Bill or a Credit Card statement from within the past 3 months, that clearly shows your name and address.
15. Wait for Coinbase to Verify your Document
Once you have selected and uploaded your document, Coinbase will attempt to automatically approve your proof of address. If it fails to do so, the verification process may take a bit longer, as a human will need to be involved to manually check and verify the document that you loaded. As long as you have made sure you uploaded a good quality utility bill, bank statement or credit card statement, showing your name and address, everything should be just fine.

6. Insert & Verify Your Phone Number

1. Click "Add a Payment Method"
Now that you have your Coinbase account (If you do not have an account, and you need help on the process, please click here to see our guide on how to set up your Coinbase account), you will be instantly met with a pop-up informing you of your deposit and withdrawal options for fiat (i.e. USD / EUR for instance).
In case you do not have this triggered popup, simply scroll to the bottom of the Coinbase website and click where it says “Add a payment method”, in the bottom right corner of the site.
2. Click "Credit/Debit Card"
Next, hit the “Credit/Debit Card” option to add your credit card to start buying Bitcoin.
3. Add your Address
Fill out your address, the one that is tied to your credit card or debit card. Once filled out, proceed by clicking the blue button “Add Billing Address”.
4. Add your Credit Card Information
Here, you’ll be asked to fill out your credit card details. Once you have done so click the “Add Card” blue button to finalize the setup.
5. Click "Trade" to buy Bitcoin with your Credit or Debit Card
Your Credit Card or Debit Card is now added to your Coinbase Account.
Now to start buying Bitcoin, simply click the “Trade” button in the top right corner of the Coinbase website.
6. Define How Much You Want to Spend
Define how much you would like to spend in your currency. You can click the two arrows next to your amount field, to see how much of a Bitcoin you will be getting when you make this purchase. Go back to the site where you created your Bitcoin address. Click BTC on the left hand menu and copy the Bitcoin address that appears in the middle of the screen below.

1. Fill Out Your Credit Card or Debit Card Information
If you completed the “How to Register an Account with CEX” section above, you will see the following screen. Simply fill out your Card Number, Name as it appears on your card and your expiration date (expiry date). Then click “Proceed”. Remember, you can use a Credit Card or Debit Card to buy bitcoins on CEX, it does not matter if it is VISA or Mastercard, both will work just fine.

2. Upload Your ID For Verification
Verification is very common today. As CEX is a registered exchange, they are required to verify their customers in order to prevent money laundering.
To complete your purchase, simply upload your Passport, ID Card or Driving License for Verification. If you Upload your Passport, there is no need to upload both sides, I only uploaded 1 side and that worked beautifully.
You will also need to upload an image of you holding your chosen ID, so they can confirm it is yours.
3. Select Amount and Proceed
You are almost there! If you have not selected the amount yet, go ahead and check how much money you want to invest, or alternatively select how many Bitcoins you want to buy and it will update the field of fiat (euro in this case) to the right of it all automatically.
